My practices as a researcher, translator, educator, and artist continuously return to the imbrications of state power, race, language, and memory.
Translation projects include sample translations as well as complete manuscripts (poetry + prose), scholarly articles, curatorial texts, subtitles, and children’s + YA fiction. Clients include Moderna Museet, The Whitney Museum of Modern Art, Malmö Konstmuseum, Lunds Konsthall, Koja Agency, Bonnier Rights, and Ahlander Agency.
Recent translations include the English translation of Burcu Sahin’s Embroideries (Litmus Press, 2024) and Knappt krig, the Swedish translation of Don Mee Choi’s Hardly War (20TAL, 2023).
I am currently a doctoral candidate in artistic research at HDK-Valand Academy of Art & Design at the University of Gothenburg. My dissertation project, Feeling Translation, deploys translation as writing apparatus, pedagogical scaffold, and strategy for solidarity. The project seeks to enquire into how autoethnographic engagements with translation may yield methods, texts, and social forms which interrogate raciolinguistic orders tacitly and explicitly codified in the ontology of translation.
